Uppingham School are seeking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational musician to lead and manage a thriving String Faculty. The appointee will play a key role in a large, well-resourced Music Department that has a reputation for excellence. A track record of first-rate teaching - on any string instrument - and a demonstrable rapport with school-age musicians is vital.
The ability to inspire others, communicate well, and to lead and work as part of a team is essential. An appreciation of the wider life of a seven day-week boarding school is a prerequisite, along with a willingness to take part in the boarding and extra-curricular programme.
The appointee will be a dynamic and inspirational character with broad professional experience, first-class subject knowledge and an outstanding record in coaching and leading ensembles.
