Part-time role to be worked as one half day, am or pm, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday each week during term time from November 2024 until July 2025.

We are seeking to appoint a volunteer School Counsellor who is either qualified or working towards a relevant qualification. Applicants must be a member of BACP or an equivalent professional body. You will work as part of a counselling team who provide a high quality, independent and confidential counselling service to pupils, responding to their personal, social, emotional and educational concerns.

We are seeking a talented musician to join the Music Department.
This position would be suitable for a recent Music Graduate or gap-year student after A Levels, who is seeking experience of teaching and educational practice in a variety of contexts. This may include working with individuals, groups and ensembles. Previous class teaching experience is not essential to the post as the Director of Music and Head of Prep Music would offer comprehensive support and guidance where required.

Pipers Corner has a state-of-the-art library located at the heart of the School, directly by the Sixth Form Centre. We are looking to recruit a Head Librarian to lead the team in this inspirational hub of intellectual curiosity and learning. The Head Librarian will also be responsible for providing the students at Pipers with the skills, tools and resources they need to develop a love of reading and literature, while also improving their independent learning and, most importantly, critical thinking skills as they carry out research, exchange ideas and interact with their peers and teachers. The successful applicant will be a Chartered Librarian, or have a similar qualification, with previous experience of working in a library or learning resource centre, preferably within a School setting. You will be able to animate classes and groups of students of all ages, demonstrate strong IT and communication skills, and a sense of teamwork.

We have an exciting opportunity for talented, flexible and hardworking graduates/gap year students who are looking for paid work experience in a highly successful independent girls’ School. This role would be ideal for anyone considering a career in education and who enjoys the challenge of a wide range of experiences.

Your role will vary from day to day and could include: providing cover and assisting teachers in the classroom, helping in the School Office, coaching on the sports field, assisting with after School club, helping with bus duties etc. You will be our “go to person” when help is needed, and in return at the end of your contract you will have gained experience across many areas of the School, forming an excellent addition to your C.V.
