Fixed term for up to 4 ½ Terms (Maternity Cover)

Do you have a personal love of music, are passionate about learning and have the ability to inspire the same in others?  The Director of Music at the Prep School is a pivotal role, building musical foundations and enjoyment of music, identifying and nurturing young talent, and training young singers and instrumentalists.  Working both in class and through provision of quality extra-curricular activities, the post holder’s vision and management will create a climate that will enable every child to flourish.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of leading a high achieving department and success at training and conducting choirs, orchestras and bands.  With strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team, the post holder will tailor the curriculum to meet the needs of students and support them to excel.

This is a temporary position for up to 4 ½ terms with a start date of March 2021.  Whilst ideally a full time role, some flexibility around hours and start date may be possible for an exceptional candidate.
