About the job

We are seeking to appoint a Director of Music to build on our musical excellence, and to reach beyond it to engage those who are not currently part of our worshipping life. We are keen to raise the profile of our high quality musical contribution, and to enable the diverse culture of our diocese to be seen and heard in the Cathedral’s music-making.

We are looking for someone who shares our a strong commitment to church and cathedral music, with knowledge and experience of the Anglican choral tradition,   You should be; a talented musician who is able to train and inspire both boy and girl choristers to sing to the highest standards, a strongly relational person, who actively enjoys working with children and adults and is keen to build relationships across the cathedral, and a choral and orchestral conductor of ability and experience.
