The Post

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a successful service delivering music education in Brent. Brent Music Service provides a vital role in supporting every Brent child’s entitlement to music education and is the lead for Brent Music Education Hub.

You will lead a service of four senior staff, two teaching teams (school-based programme and instrumental/vocal tuition) and a support team, and lead the further development of traded services and the sourcing of additional funding to ensure that Brent children and young people access the very best music education.

The Person

We are seeking a highly motivated, inspirational colleague who is passionate about music education. You will have experience of delivering a broad range of high quality music provision that engages children and young people, develops their skills, and ensures that they build the confidence to reach their full potential and perform at the highest level.

You will have proven senior experience as a successful leader of music education in a music service and/or educational setting. In addition you will have the skills to inspire a team of staff and to develop their skills to deliver high quality music education.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong partnerships with schools and other organisations, including those providing funding opportunities.
