About the job

We are seeking an inspirational musician to lead choral music and singing at Bedford School. This is a hugely exciting new full-time role suited to an experienced choral director. The successful candidate will work across the whole age range of the school (Y3-13), and will take responsibility for all choral groups, including the Chapel Choir. Our Chapel Choir has a rich and impressive history, and to this day proudly continues its centuries’ old tradition of a boys-only choir singing choral music within a liturgical context. One-to-one teaching will also be required; those with a specialism in either singing or keyboard are equally welcome to apply.

We welcome applications from those available to take up the position in either September 2021 or earlier if possible.  

The school has its own salary scale which is well above the national scale. 

Suitable candidates may be interviewed before the closing date and Bedford School reserves the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made.
