About the job

Christ’s Hospital wishes to appoint a talented and experienced singer, teacher, choral director and animateur for this important new role. The successful candidate will hold a high profile both within the school and beyond.

Based in Horsham, West Sussex, the School has pioneered social mobility and challenged social inequality to provide an unrivalled start in life for disadvantaged children for nearly five centuries. As economic and social inequality continue to grow in the UK, Christ’s Hospital’s mission is ever more relevant.

In addition to developing the provision of individual and group singing within the school, it is envisaged that part of this role will have a school and community outreach element.

Salary is commensurate with experience and paid in accordance with the Christ’s Hospital Teachers’ Salary scale.

Full participation in the broader life of this busy boarding community is essential and accommodation on site may be available.

Applicants should evidence in the personal statement how they meet the requirements of the role and person specification.
