We are looking for a Head of Strings who is not only capable of driving and developing our string programme with verve and passion but who will also be an enthusiastic advocate of string playing within the school in general.

Music facilities at Uppingham are first-class and String playing is impressive. The School holds a biennial Chamber Music Festival that has previously involved the Sacconi Quartet and Schubert Ensemble and over the years we have been awarded top prizes at the Pro Corda Chamber Music Competition.

As Head of Strings, you will oversee the direction of all string-based ensembles and chamber music alongside organising regular faculty concerts, masterclasses and the Chamber Music Festival.
