Henley Choral Society Musical Director

About the job

Henley Choral Society (HCS) is seeking a Musical Director (MD) to start in April 2022 and not later than 1st September 2022. We are looking for another dynamic and talented person to replace our current MD, Peter Asprey, someone who will continue to develop our skills and ambitions. 

HCS is a friendly, non-auditioned choir with around 100 enthusiastic members of varying ages and musical ability. 

HCS perform three concerts a year, singing a major choral work each spring. 

Rehearsals take place in Henley on Thames on Monday evenings during term time. 

Pay is negotiable and in line with the Musicians’ Union rates. HCS is a registered charity. 

Closing date for applicants is 7th January 2022 and interviews and auditions will be in February 2022. 

Note we also have a junior and senior youth choirs, led by their own MD, with whom we periodically perform (notably at Christmas).
