South Hampstead High School, one of the UK’s leading schools, are seeking a Music graduate to join our department as a Music Administrator. 

They will assist the Director of Music, who oversees both the Senior and Junior School Music departments, in the day-to-day running of those departments. 

The key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Assisting with concert management 
  • Organising rehearsal schedules
  • Delivering aural classes to the Junior School girls in the run up to the ABRSM exams
  • Allocating pupils to visiting music teachers
  • Organising and stewarding ABRSM and Trinity exams and Scholarship auditions 
  • Administration for music department trips
  • General department administration

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High-quality musicianship skills 
  • Strong ability as a performer 
  • Understanding of concert management 
  • Excellent proof-reading skills 
  • Excellent IT skills 
  • The ability to cope under pressure 
  • The ability to work to deadlines 
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritise 
  • Good people skills
