About the job

If you have experience in the operation and maintenance of music technology, audio-visual equipment and software, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the smooth running of Westminster’s excellent Manoukian Music Centre.

The facility opened in 2005 and is fully equipped with a Rehearsal/Performing Hall, Recording Studio, classrooms, practice rooms, rehearsal rooms and instrument storage of the highest standards.

As Music Department Technician, you will ensure that all of the Music Department’s equipment is properly maintained and stored. You will also ensure that rooms and in-house venues are properly set up for classes, workshops and performances, and set up P.A. equipment, engineer live sound, record live events and studio workshops, and assist pupils with specific tasks.

You will be contracted to work 20 hours per week Monday to Friday (term time only). The job will require you to work during weekday (often Friday) evenings and, very occasionally, at weekends to support performances.

In return, we can offer a variety of benefits, such as a contributory pension scheme, school lunches in term time and free use of the School’s gym. The location of the School allows unrivalled opportunities to attend musical performances on the South Bank & West End.
