About the job

MusicShare© is an award-winning singing outreach programme that works with local primary, secondary and special schools to encourage and support children to sing well. It is a partnership between Lichfield Cathedral School & Lichfield Cathedral with significant funding from Arts’ Council England via The Music Partnership. In its infancy, MusicShare worked with 3 schools per term, culminating in a joint concert at Lichfield Cathedral. We now work with around 150 schools per year, bringing the joy of singing to thousands of children across the West Midlands, - and we are still growing.

Can we add you to our list of MusicShare Choral Animateurs?

Occasional work across our area on a flexible, part time, self -employed basis.

£30 per hour, plus travel allowance. Projects are available currently.

MusicShare Animateurs work with children and young people to develop healthy, quality singing using repertoire from across a range of genres, often in preparation for performance in Lichfield Cathedral, local venues and schools, to an audience of family, friends and members of the local community.

MusicShare Animateurs lead sessions with classes at local schools, occasionally including our Young Singing Leaders, many of whom are choristers and former choristers. We work in schools based in Stoke on Trent, Telford and Wrekin, Staffordshire and occasionally further afield. We also run additional groups as part of the MusicShare programme, including Mini Voices, Young Voices and Ladies Who Lark, more details of which can be found on the School website www.lichfieldcathedralschool.com

Candidates will preferably have knowledge of the English Choral Tradition but will also have significant experience in working across all school environments, the ability to lead quality provision across all vocal styles and genres and be able to deliver CPD to local teachers.

If you are interested in applying to join our MusicShare Team list, an application form is available on the School’s website, www.lichfieldcathedralschool.com
