About the job

Wellington School invites applications for a versatile and dedicated piano teacher to teach across our 3-18 age range (approximately 2 days per week, commencing Sept 2020).

This is an exciting time in the development of the Music Department with the Prep and Senior music departments now integrated into one organisation which will particularly support the progression of our instrumental musicians.

As such, we are seeking to recruit a dynamic teacher who is able to inspire the full age range and can engage the beginner in their first steps whilst being able to challenge the music Award-holder. The ability to communicate effectively with parents and colleagues and to work as part of a supportive team is essential.

Wellington School Music Department has a flourishing co-curricular music programme with a wide variety of performing opportunities available to our instrumental musicians. Wellington is an all-Steinway school and our pupils benefit from access to our excellent range of instruments, including Steinway Models A, D and B. Our Keyboard Faculty is a creative department where innovation and creativity thrive.

Applicants must be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare. Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS and Child protection checks. We are an equal opportunities employer.
