The Harrodian School is seeking to appoint a Visiting Singing Teacher to join our successful and vibrant Music department. The ideal candidate would be a highly skilled and experienced singing teacher comfortable teaching in a range of styles including Musical Theatre and Pop as well as traditional Classical repertoire. The ability to play the piano to a good standard to accompany pupils and play for concerts and recitals is also desirable. This position is initially for approximately one day of teaching per week but there may be scope to take on more pupils in the future.
There are four full-time and one part-time music teachers at Harrodian as well as a team of 16 visiting music staff, teaching a variety of instruments. Approximately 450 instrumental and vocal lessons take place each week as well as a wide range of choirs and ensembles.
The Music Department is housed in its own building and incorporates 3 teaching classrooms, 7 practice rooms and an auditorium space for concerts and recitals. There are 12 iMacs in the department, each running Logic Pro X, Garageband and Sibelius 7 software.
Founded in 1993, the Harrodian School is co-educational and set in 25 acres of ground with excellent facilities.
