We are seeking an inspirational, creative and enthusiastic musician to join the Music Department team as Teacher of Academic Music at Bedford School for September 2022 or January 2023. The primary role will be to teach curriculum Music to boys from Y7-13. This role would be suitable for a part time (0.45) Teacher of Music although we are happy to consider a full-time role for candidates who are able to make a full contribution to the school’s rich musical and other co-curricular programme and/or teach a second subject.

We are happy to hear from applicants seeking a full-time or part-time (0.45) role.

This role would be suitable for an experienced teacher, ECT or unqualified teacher. We are experienced in supporting unqualified teachers to take their first role within the profession, with a reduced timetable of teaching, high levels of support and opportunities for formal initial teacher training.

Full-time teachers at Bedford are also expected to play a full part in the extensive co-curricular programme and be a Tutor attached to a boarding or day house.
