Teacher of Songwriting

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and inspirational teacher of Songwriting to coach individual pupils and groups in all categories, general, special provision and specialist on a regular basis as required. 

The successful candidate will be expected to prepare pupils for performances, auditions, appropriate competitions, grade examinations and yearly departmental assessments. 

An ability to perform on or teach an instrument within the commercial music genre is desirable but not essential. This is a thriving area within our world class music department and

will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to positively impact music across the whole school.

Closing date: Friday 24th June 2022, 12 noon.

Interviews are scheduled to take place on Tuesday 28th June or Thursday 30th June 2022.

Suitable candidates may be interviewed before the closing date and Wells Cathedral School reserves the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made.  Applicants are therefore encouraged to apply early.
