The Training Orchestra Conductor will have responsibility for conducting the Training Orchestra (TO) at weekly rehearsals on Sunday afternoons and at concerts. They will also be responsible for auditioning new players, re-auditioning existing players and selecting repertoire for the orchestra to play each term. They will also deputise for the Musical Director to rehearse the Main Orchestra as required. 

This is an opportunity for a first class musician and educator to work with the younger members of one of the UK’s leading Youth Orchestras, helping them develop their musical skills to their full potential in a rewarding and enjoyable environment.

The successful applicant will be a dynamic and inspirational conductor with excellent knowledge of the orchestral repertoire and a proven track record of being able to work with, motivate and inspire young musicians.
