The Yehudi Menuhin School is a leading specialist music school with an international outlook, offering highly individualised music education to some 86 young musicians. Pupils are aged between 8 and 19 years old, the great majority of whom board at the school. They receive both an academic and a musical education at the School, and each pupil has their own individual schedule designed to suit their particular needs. Present pupils include a number of prize-winners in various international competitions, and the vast majority of students go on to conservatoires and universities to study music when they graduate.
The School is looking for a new Principal Cello Teacher and an additional Violin Teacher to join a team of world-class musicians and educators working in a friendly, collaborative and collegiate atmosphere.
Our students are of a very high calibre and all would hope to go on to first-rate teachers in top class institutions when they finish their studies at the school. We regularly have visiting teachers at the school - in the last two years we have welcomed Nicola Benedetti, Alina Ibragimova, Anthony Marwood, Roman Simovic and Rodney Friend to the Violin department and Colin Carr and Gary Hoffman among others to the Cello department .
Applications must be made using the School's own application form (downloadable from the School website). Please note that a CV without a completed application form will not be considered. Applications should be sent to (and further information sought from):
