The Music Department of King's High School and Warwick Preparatory School is seeking to appoint an excellent and enthusiastic Visiting Music Teacher to provide a year of maternity cover, from June 2020 for upper strings teaching (a specialist violist or the ability to play and teach viola would be advantageous) within our ambitious and forward-thinking department.
The right candidate will inspire and engage pupils of all ages and proficiently engender the uptake of upper strings lessons. Through their work the successful candidate can generate the opportunity to continue working with the Music Department following the conclusion of the maternity cover period.
In addition to teaching individual lessons, opportunities exist for an outstanding educator with excellent team spirit to contribute to the work of the Department in other ways, including the Year 2 String Project, and the Year 7 Instrumental Programme (specifically viola). These educational initiatives involve class-based and small-group teaching on orchestral instruments.
This post comes at a particularly exciting time in the musical life of the school: the new King’s High school opened in September 2019 and a new high-tech Music School is due to be finished in 2020.
Further details and an application form can be obtained from the school website(s) http://www.warwickprep.com/, www.kingshighwarwick.co.uk or, alternatively, please contact the Human Resources office on 01926 735413 or email hr@warwickschools.co.uk
Closing date: 12 noon, Tuesday 31 March 2020
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The appointment will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
