Overall summary of role to read:
St George’s Junior School are seeking an enthusiastic Violin teacher to join the team of self-employed visiting music teachers. For this teaching post there are currently 2.20 hours of self-employed teaching 1:1 lessons and 2.20 hours of teaching the Year 3 and 4 paired lesson scheme on a zero hours contract. The successful candidate will be encouraged and supported in recruiting new pupils and be available to increase teaching hours.
Peripatetic teachers teach around 30 individual lessons over the course of the academic year. Each lesson lasts for 35 minutes and timetables are organised by the peripatetic teachers to fit with the rota system in operation from 08.15 – 16.50.
