About the job

Benenden School is looking for three Visiting Music Teachers to provide dynamic and innovative teaching in guitar, drums and percussion. 

In our stunning new, purpose-built music facilities, you will be able to teach a variety of styles in your instrument to a high level, showing initiative and working collaboratively to the benefit of the department and the School. 

You will have a thorough knowledge of a wide range of repertoire and be able to adapt your teaching style according to the level and personality of each individual.

The approximate hours for each role will be:

  • Guitar Teacher: 7 hours per week
  • Drums: 6-8 hours per week
  • Percussion: 5-7 hours per week

About the Music Department

The School opened its new purpose-built Music and Concert Hall in June 2022 and all band rooms are equipped with drum kits, well maintained school guitars and new amplifiers. There are also excellent facilities for recording available.
