About the job

We are seeking experienced singing and piano teachers to work with our pianists and singers from beginner right the way through to grade 8 and beyond.

For singing, we need a teacher who will inspire youngsters. An ability to teach a variety of styles - classical, theatre, jazz and pop - would be an advantage. We follow the ABRSM and Trinity London syllabuses (as well as LAMDA for any theatre singers), but not all students follow exams and the right candidate should be able to fit the right programme to each student, providing targets for exams, or building a programme of repertoire for fun.

For piano, we need a teacher who will inspire beginners and build up confidence in teenagers to learn piano for the first time as well as work with the most ambitious of music scholars. An ability to teach a variety of different styles to beginners, including popular genres, might be an advantage.

The successful candidates will join a Music Department which is happy and flourishing and driven by its ethos of creating stimulating opportunities for musicians of all levels. Its strengths lie in its teamwork, its commitment and in the considerable talents both of pupils and teachers.
